Participants pay a monthly membership fee to join a group of like-minded individuals pursuing personal transformation and coaching. Think of it as a health club for personal fulfillment that provides a committed learning environment that challenges you to live your life in ways that are new, powerful and profound.
What is the prerequiste for becoming a Journey member?Currently you must be a Breaking Through Graduate (Parts I and II) to apply.
How much does a Journey Membership cost? The cost is $100 per month for as long as you choose to maintain your membership.
Is my membership transferrable?Memberships are non-transferable.
Can I still register for a course if I am not a journey member?Yes! Anyone including a non-graduate 18 years or older can sign up for any of the 12 week courses by paying the $875.00 tuition fee. We do however, strongly suggest “Breaking Through, Parts I&II as a prerequisite.
What is the cost of a course for non-members?The cost is $875.00 for each 12 week course.
Does the cost include all the materials I will need for the course, or will there be an additional fee for course materials? No all necessary materials are included. However, there may be from time to time, recommended books or materials that might augment the course content.
Where will the courses be conducted?Currently all evening classes and workshops will be held at:
1329 West 96th Street, Suite 100
Indianapolis, IN 46260
All sessions are experiential. Each 12-week course includes a 2½-day weekend workshop and five Monday night sessions. The Monday evening sessions are designed as a separate mini-workshop that stands on its own, and enhances the 2½-day immersion weekend.
What happens if I miss a Monday evening? While we would love to have you at all the scheduled classes that is unrealistic for most people. So we will be filming the evening sessions and they will be available for review that same week. That way you can catch up if you are not present for the class.
How important are the Monday evening sessions? The evening sessions are designed as a separate mini-workshop; related, but not tied to the weekend. If you were to miss all the Monday evenings (don’t do that if you can avoid it) but attended the weekend workshop for that course, your experience would be the same as anyone else in the room. The evening meetings are not a prerequisite for any of the weekend immersion workshops.
On the other hand, to maximize your value, the Monday evening sessions are important and I would recommend you attend each.
The weekend workshops will not be filmed for review. That means if you miss a weekend workshop—you miss the weekend workshop. However, one of the cool things about being a Journey Member, is that you still come out way ahead even if you were to only attend two workshops per year.
What if I miss part of a weekend? It will depend on the course instructor and the ground rules. If it is an hour or so, and you have some flexibility it can often be worked out. It is obviously much better if you will schedule your time so that you can be present 100% of the time.
Is there any training, coaching or education that is a prerequisite before I can register for any of the courses? Not at this time. Nor is it anticipated that there would be. However, we do strongly suggest Breaking Through, Parts I&II as a starting point before you attend any of our courses. Since Breaking Through is only offered a couple of times a year, it may be that some people will participate in one of our 12-week classes before they have the opportunity to attend a Breaking Through.
Will there be any required assignments, homework, or projects?Yes, from time to time. Although “required” is too strong of word; “lovingly suggested” would be a better way of putting it.
Who usually attends your courses?Anyone who wants to *Please note our workshops and coaching are not meant to be a substitute for any form of counseling or recovery.
How should I dress for the weekends? Our environment is casual and friendly. Jeans or comfortable clothing is recommended. Temperature can fluctuate so bring a sweater or jacket.
Are meals included with the course fee?No. On Monday evenings we will assume you grabbed a bite to eat prior to the evening session. During the weekend workshops you will be going out to dinner with your group. Sundays there is often a request to pack your lunch due to time constraints. Details will be on the web site and communicated prior to each workshop.
Is lodging available? There are numerous hotels within a ten minute driving distance. Most are on or near Michigan Road at I-465. It’s always easy to secure a place to stay with a fellow participant who’s participating in the same workshop if you will make your need known at the break.
Is the workshop facility handicap accessible?Yes it is. And we are more than happy to assist any one who has special needs.
Do you recommend taking a course with people I know?I know different people have different opinions on this. While every course includes the opportunity to share publicly, much of the sharing is done in small groups or dyads (two people working together). Those interchanges are designed for your privacy and to get to meet new people. By the end of the week many people wish they had shared that time with their friends, colleagues and family members. Ultimately it is really a personal choice with no one answer for everyone.
